Our Story
In 1894, Elizabeth Johns opened a grocery store in her front room in St Ives, Cornwall. Her husband, a fisherman, had drowned at sea and she was now the sole provider for her five children.
Fast forward 120 years and the store passes down to Elizabeth's great, great grandchildren - Tom and Sam Hanson. They transform the shop into a specialist alcohol retailer with hundreds of gins, whiskies and rums. In 2021, after spotting a gap in the market, they launch Crusty Juggler - Cornwall's first Black Spiced rum...
