BLACK SPICED
Made by hand just outside St Ives, Cornwall.
Crusty Juggler Black Spiced Rum is made from our superb aged Caribbean base rum, blended with black strap molasses, Demerara sugar, cinnamon bark, cloves, whole vanilla pods, ginger and orange peel before aging further in ex-Bourbon casks where it takes on characters of American oak including subtle coconut and wood char. We then bottle, label, wax and stamp by hand with the seal of the Crusty Juggler.
We have also teamed up with Cornish ocean conservation charity Surfers Against Sewage and make a donation to them for every bottle sold.
Tasting notes:
Nose: Rich and complex with notes of molasses, freshly baked cinnamon rolls and sweet orange.
Palate: Deep and thick with mouth watering flavours of treacle sponge cake and creamy vanilla, cut nicely with dried orange peel, winter spice and a warm rush of fiery ginger!
Finish: The flavour hangs around till morning, sweet cinnamon and ginger linger on, with notes of coconut, vanilla and charred American oak to finish you off.
